Did Martin Luther create a brand new church or Reformed it? Lets dive into How Martin Luther Started a False Church Movement & Not a Reformation.
Sola Scriptura invented by Luther, and Sola Fide completely negate the oral traditions celebrated by Catholics,Orthodox, and Oriental Orthodox Churches. All three of these Churches believe Jesus founded the Church when He sent the Holy Spirit to the 12 Apostles. All of these Churches believe in the Holy Trinity, veneration of saints (starting with the Virgin Mary), the 7 sacraments, the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist, the True presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. Also Marian apparitions, and a hierarchy of Bishops, priests and deacons who can trace their lineage of ordination back to the Apostle Peter.

While these Churches were in full communion with each other, they followed different languages, different calendars, different practices, different rites, and even different Bible canons!
The existence of these three Churches being in full communion with each other for over 1000 years PROVES that apostolic oral traditions were more important as a Church than having a canon of written scriptures.
It was the Schism of 1054AD were the Catholic, Orthodox, and Oriental Orthodox Churches entered an imperfect communion with each other. The Catholic Church remained faithful to the Apostolic oral tradition of obedience to the office of the Bishop of Rome, and to Holy Scripture. The Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox Churches decided to stop following the hierarchy of authority of Bishops and decided each Bishop was self autonomous.
Luther Changed Holy Scripture
Martin Luther was a defrocked Catholic priest in the 1530s, who knew the 73 books of the Catholic Church Bible canon, but never mentions the Orthodox Church or their 76 book bible canon or the Oriental Orthodox Church and their 81 book Bible canons.
During the Reformation, Martin Luther adopted Jerome’s position on the canonical status of the Hebrew Biblical texts. He placed them in a separate section of his German translation of the Bible, labeling them the “Apocrypha” and declaring them —-
“not of like worth with Holy Scripture, yet are good and useful to be read”.
This cemented the term’s modern association with non-canonical, inter-testamental books in Protestant traditions.
These Books Are Not Held Equal to the Scriptures, But Are Useful and Good to Read. He translated the now protestant Bible into German, but used a Greek word to describe the Deuterocanonical books. Apocrypha means “away, hidden, secret”. Whereas deuterocanonical means secondary canon or secondary rule or law enacted by a council (plural).
Martin Luther Heresy
About 1 year after printing his complete Bible, Martin Luther allowed Philip I, Landgrave of Hesse to marry a 2nd wife without divorce or annulment of his first wife. In other words, Luther allowed bigamy- thus adultery. Martin Luther argued FOR bigamy by claiming the Bible does not explicitly forbid it. Apparently monogamous marriages was another Apostolic oral tradition he objected to.

Martin Luther made a similar suggestion to King Henry VIII of England, when he wanted to marry another woman after his first wife. Instead of becoming Lutheran, King Henry VIII formed his own Church of England and declared himself as head of the Church.
Sometime around 1600, King James I of England, also head of the Church of England sponsored an English translation of the Bible. This KJV Bible also included the deuterocanonical books of the Catholic Church and followed Martin Luther’s strange practice of using the Greek word “Apocrypha” to describe the books that were moved to the back of the book.
By the time of the American Protestant Revival of the 1800s, publishers decided to completely omit the 7 deuterocanonical books known to Protestants as the Apocrypha.
By convention and lack of education of history, these publishers unknowingly created the Protestant 66 book canon of the Protestant Bible. By omitting these books, Protestants now claim that the Catholic Church “added” these books to support oral traditions like veneration of the Saints and asking for their help. Of course, this was a lie!
Also, the teachings of Martin Luther, John Calvin and Zwingli are very different from each other as founders of the Protestant Reformation. Each started their own Church sect, providing precedent for all future Protestants to form a new denomination if the disliked what their pastor was preaching. The only principles they shared was Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide, anti Catholicism, and completely ignoring the Churches founded by the other 11 Apostles not named Peter.
Furthermore, American Protestants created 2 more Sects with Mormons and Jehovah’s witnesses. The founder of the Mormons added an entirely new Book of Mormons to their Bible canon and still follow Sola Scriptura and Sola Fide. Jehovah’s witnesses specifically deny the Apocrypha was ever a part of their canon.
Its worth noting that a false church is where the Word of God and true gospel are not honored or taught, or changed. And where the sacraments are not properly administered, or church discipline is not faithfully exercised – Beware, be Discerning
