Discerning your God Given Calling

Discerning your God Given Calling is important to a happy and fulfilling life. What God has called you is an overflow from your relationship with God. We can not be estranged from God and expect to perform God’s will. God wants our hearts, far more than He wants us to do stuff for Him.  However, the Bible tell us in : Romans 11:29

Douay-Rheims Bible
For the gifts and the calling of God are without repentance.

Catholic Public Domain Version
For the gifts and the call of God are without regret.

New American Bible
For the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable.

I other words. We can be is sin, yet still be used of God. God will not take the calling and gifts He has granted us because of our sin. This is because Truth is still Truth even if it is shared form a sinful vessel.

But this is not God’s Ideal. We would want to head for HOLINESS and a LIVING relationship with God.

How to Prepare for Gods Call and be Holy.

I invite you to study 1 Corinthians chapters 10 to 15. There you will see and that we actually see the fullness of how God wants you to respond to his calling- whatever that calling may look like.

Responding to God’s calling is not difficult. But the hard thing that you ever have to make in regard to god’s calling is to say YES, and stick to it.

Very often what God is called you too is maybe very alien to you you may feel under qualified you may feel incapable you may feel very weak. And you know this is a very good thing. The fact that you feel these inadequate is good. We also see this inadequatecy in the the apostle Paul, who says ..

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” is from the Bible, specifically 2 Corinthians 12:9. It signifies that God’s strength is most evident when humans are aware of and embrace their own limitations and dependence on Him. This means that when we acknowledge our weaknesses, God’s power can work through us to accomplish His purposes

Also…

1 Corinthians 1:27. This verse suggests that God chooses those who are considered foolish or weak by the world’s standards to accomplish His purposes, often in ways that confound or shame those who are considered wise or powerful.

And this is a good thing. Because no matter who we are where we come from. No matter if it’s our education or lack thereof. God can use us for His glory. For His praise for the extension of His Kingdom. Also for the salvation of souls in the capacity of which we are called.
