This is my story from Protestant Minister – To Catholic.

It was a crisp Australian autumn morning in 1976 when I experienced a dramatic conversion to Protestantism. At the time, I had little knowledge of the specific beliefs and practices of the Protestant church.

Little did I know that this moment would set me on a path that would span over 40 years- taking me from serving as an ordained Minister in Australia, the USA, and the UK, to where I find myself today—on the threshold of converting to Catholicism.

My journey has been a long and winding one, marked by countless moments of inspiration, deep reflection, and challenging decisions. Each step has been a building block in my spiritual transformation.

As I reflect on my past, I can’t help but marvel at how my spiritual journey has led me here.

My initial attraction to the Catholic faith was rooted in its strong emphasis on prayer, contemplation, values based on scripture, the transformation of one’s soul, and the constant seeking of God’s will.

These elements resonated deeply with my spiritual values and aspirations.

While I am grateful for the experience and knowledge I gained over a lifetime as a Protestant Minister, the call to Catholicism feels natural and spiritual to me. It’s a fresh start, a welcome challenge.

As I embark on this new chapter, I come, as we all do, as a learner and a disciple.

I’m sharing my journey through written articles and videos on this website. It’s a powerful way to connect with others who may be on a similar path or are curious about the experiences of those who undergo significant religious transitions.

I want to share my thoughts, challenges, and moments of inspiration, hoping that they may provide valuable insights and support to others who find themselves at a crossroads in their faith.
